Critics Are Going Bananas For Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

In just a few short weeks, Matt ReevesDawn of the Planet of the Apes will finally arrive in theaters. All eyes are on this latest installment in the primate vs. human franchise, as it has a lot to live up to after 2011′s well-received and hugely successful reboot/prequel/relaunch, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Can this new chapter in the long running series manage to live up to the hype and pull off the character-driven, action-packed spectacle that’s been promised in the trailers?

We mere mortals may have to wait to find out how the war between Gary Oldman’s disparate group of human survivors and Caesar’s family of genetically-enhanced apes shakes out, but a lucky few have already seen the film, and offered their opinions on it via Twitter. Luckily, they appear to be going bananas for it (sorry), and have hereby raised my astronomical expectations even higher.
