Alicia Vikander is in negotiations to star opposite Eddie Redmayne in the Working Title drama “The Danish Girl.”

Tom Hooper is directing the pic with Lucinda Coxon adapting the script.

The film will be based on David Ebershoff’s novel of the same name, a fictionalized account of the life of married Danish painters Einar and Gerda Wegener. In 1930, Einar Wegener underwent the surgery and became Lili Elbe.
