Jupiter Ascending Delayed until February 6, 2015

In a bit of strange release date news, Warner Bros. has pushed the Wachowski Siblings' sci-fi adventure epic Jupiter Ascending from its planned July 18, 2014 release date back to February 6, 2015. The summer weekend only had Planes: Fire & Rescue, The Purge: Anarchy, Sex Tape, and Wish I Was Here slated as its opening weekend competition. The early 2015 spot, oddly enough, has the Johnny Depp-starring action-comedy Mortdecai, the Liam Neeson actioner Run All Night, and the fantasy film Seventh Son already set to open that weekend. One could argue that the new release date is actually more competitive than the current one, so why the move? Hit the jump for more.
