If news of the trilogy reboot of Stargate wasn't enough 90s nostalgia for you, how about a remake of Sylvester Stallone's 1993 mountain climbing thriller Cliffhanger? Because Deadline reports producer Neal Moritz (I Am Legend, Fast & Furious 6, 21 Jump Street) and Studio Canal are developing the project with fresh-faced writer Joe Gazzam hired to write the screenplay after his pitch stood out amongst a pack of various writers vying for the job. Gazzam has been working on his spec script Shadow Run which Original Film was developing after Sony Pictures bought the script a few months ago, and now he's here. Read on! The film doesn't have have a studio home, but Original Film is stationed in Sony Pictures, so they'll probably get the first chance to pick it up.
