Currently trending topics of conversation include the ever-increasing wage disparity between classes, white privilege vs white guilt, and cultural causes of psychopathic behavior.  So when the first trailer for writer-director Kevin Asch's drama Affluenza hit earlier today, I couldn't quite tell if the film was well-timed in its prescience or incredibly tone deaf to contemporary social issues.  I suppose I'll have to wait and see how this loose adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" pans out to find out for sure, but the trailer plays like a teaser for a soap opera series on The CW.  If that's your thing, enjoy! Starring Ben Rosenfield, Nicola Peltz, Grant Gustin, and Gregg SulkinAffluenza debuts in theaters and on VOD July 11th.  Hit the jump to watch the first Affluenza trailer.
