FX and Fxx locked in summer premiere dates on Friday, including the series launches of “The Strain” and “Tyrant.”

Tyrant,” from Howard Gordon (“24″/”Homeland”), tells the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. It is set for Tuesday nights at 10, starting June 24.

One night later, Fxx kicks off the fourth and final season of live-action comedy “Wilfred. The show about the unique relationship between a young man who forms a unique friendship with his neighbor’s canine pet (Wilfred), will air at 10 p.m. for 10 weeks.

Crime thriller “The Bridge,” which won a Peabody Award this year, returns for its second season on July »
