Back in the misty days of 2003, when social networking had yet to engulf our lives and mobile phones were still used to make calls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer came to the end of his historic 7-year television run. It was a bittersweet farewell as, though many agreed that the show had its fair share of ups and downs over the years and had more or less run its course, it would still be sad to see some of their most beloved fictional characters go.

Fortunately, however, they weren’t gone for long, as in 2007 Dark Horse Comics started publishing Buffy Season 8, an official continuation of the series sanctioned, executive produced and occasionally written by creator Joss Whedon. The comic proved so popular that it was followed by a Season 9 and the recently-begun Season 10 which both also incorporate a continuation of Buffy spinoff Angel in the form of Angel & Faith.
