Kino Lorber has acquired North American rights to Alex Gibney’s documentary Finding Fela following its Sundance world premiere in January.

Jigsaw Productions, Knitting Factory Entertainment and Okayplayer produced the story of Afrobeat creator Fela Kuti.

Finding Fela will launch in theatres on August 1 and expand into 75 markets.

Lionsgate will release Sundance selection Dinosaur 13 in limited theatrical, VOD and digital platforms on August 15. Todd Miller’s film chronicles the politics surrounding the discovery in 1990 of Sue, which at the time was the largest complete T-Rex remains ever found.Film Movement has acquired North American rights from Continental Media to terrorism drama God’s Slave, the directorial debut of Venezuelan Joel Novoa. »
