There may not be any new Arrested Development news to report right now, but its creator has decided to stay put at Netflix. The streaming service confirmed Tuesday that Mitchell Hurwitz has signed a multi-year deal to create, develop, and produce original series.

Netflix and the Emmy-winning Hurwitz teamed up in 2011 with plans to revive his beloved cult comedy Arrested Development, and 15 new episodes were released last May. Hurwitz seems to have enjoyed his partnership with Netflix, telling EW last year: “They worked with me as true creative partners, and it so happens that being creative is their business model. »
