There was a lot of excitement recently when David Fincher was announced as the potential director of Sony’s planned Steve Jobs biopic. But negotiations reportedly broke down when the studio and the director couldn’t come to terms, so there will be no reunion of the Social Network team. Still, the door has opened for other talented directors, and The Hollywood Reporter has it that Danny Boyle is in talks to take the job.From the sounds of it, Boyle already has an idea of who he wants to star if he does make a deal, sounding out his The Beach leading man Leonardo DiCaprio.
