"Goonies" never say die.

This is also true of sequel talk, since in the years since the 1986 comedic adventure was released, there has been endless speculation about a potential follow-up (and a 1987 Nintendo game sequel from Konami that involved the gang rescuing a captured mermaid, amongst other nonsense). Somewhere, Corey Feldman is very, very excited.
