Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was created by Joss Whedon, but without his direct involvement – aside from directing the pilot – the series has been lacking many of the aspects that make up other shows in the Whedonverse. A lot of it has to do with casting – you expect a Whedon show to make use of some of the better known actors that have been on Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dollhouse. Thankfully, as Agents of Shield has gone on, it’s tried to give itself that Whedonverse feel. And now, my personal favorite Whedonite, Amy Acker, has been cast in an upcoming episode.

According to TV Guide, Acker was cast in at least one episode of Shield. She’ll be playing Audrey, a famous cellist first mentioned in Marvel’s The Avengers. She’s the love of Phil Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) life, turning heads up in Portland, and believes Coulson »
