A handful of world premiere documentaries have been added to the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival slate to go along with its Tribeca Talks series of public discussions that this year will include chats with Kevin Spacey, Ron Howard, Michael Douglas, Aaron Sorkin, Lee Daniels, Bryan Cranston, Alec Baldwin and David Simon, among others.

Spacey will appear after the premiere of “Now — In the Wings on a World Stage,” director Jeremy Whelehan’s look at the Bridge Project, the transatlantic theater initiative from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, London’s Old Vic Theater and Neal Street Prods. Film focuses on the Sam Mendes-helmed stage revival of “Richard III” in which Spacey starred.

Baldwin and former congressman Barney Frank are set to participate in a talk following “Compared to What: The Improbable Journey of Barney Frank,” Michael Chandler and Sheila Canavan’s pic about the openly gay politician’s 40 year career in politics. »
