The actress has been named for the honour from the French equivalent of the Oscars.
The award recognises her career from 1998's The Horse Whisperer (when she was 14) to her recent voice role in Her.
Johansson was particularly praised by Academy president Alain Terzian for Lost in Translation and as a muse for Woody Allen in Match Point, Scoop and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
The award is traditionally given to a foreign actor.
Previous recipients include Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Dustin Hoffman and, most recently, Kevin Costner.
Johansson will next be seen in Under the Skin and Luc Besson's Lucy.
