Disney Channel series play hard and die young; it’s just the natural order of things. It might not make sense when you first think about how the many shows on the channel inevitably end around the fourth season, but once you put on your logic cap things start to make a bit more sense. When your target audience is 13-year-old girls, chances are they aren’t going to find your programming interesting six years on. At the best the viewers for shows like Good Luck Charlie are temporary audiences, destined to move on to more mature, adult-themed shows. With that in mind, let’s all get ready to say goodbye to Good Luck Charlie.
