The Center for Disease Control is getting very busy in science fiction television lately. They are forefront in SyFy's series "Helix." Now, they will be drawing battle lines in Guillermo del Toro's "The Strain." This latest fictional series is based on del Toro's book trilogy and this vampiric series is set to launch this summer. As well, "The Strain" stars David Bradley ("Game of Thrones"), Kevin Durand (Fruitvale Station), Mia Maestro ("Alias"), Jonathan Hyde (Titanic), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), Richard Sammel (Inglourious Basterds), Doug Jones (Hellboy), and Robert Maillet (Pacific Rim). Now, an official teaser trailer is available for the show. The series follows Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and his research on a vampiric plague.
