Fox’s military comedy “Enlisted” didn’t sign up too many viewers in its premiere Friday, finishing deep in fourth place and losing viewers from its “Raising Hope” lead-in.

“Enlisted,” the generally well-reviewed laffer about three knucklehead brothers at a Florida military base, averaged a 0.7 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour, according to Nielsen. It didn’t have the biggest lead-in, but dropped off a bit from “Raising Hope” (0.8/2 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall).

Fox fared better earlier in the evening with “Bones” (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall), but wasn’t able to get viewers to stick around for its laffers an hour later. “Raising Hope” and “Enlisted” averaged about one-third the young-adult audience of timeslot leader ABC and about half of what second-place CBS delivered.
