Remakes are always a tough prospect, especially if the original film is beloved. It's even tougher for F. Javier Gutierrez's upcoming rebooting of "The Crow".

Not only have attempts to continue the franchise outside the original 1994 film met with bad reviews and poor box-office, the first film was made famous for the death of its lead star Brandon Lee midway through production.

Welsh actor Luke Evans steps into the shoes of the character of resurrected rock star Eric Draven for this outing. With the project in pre-production ahead of filming to begin shortly, Evans spoke with Rcn TV this week to explain what those involved in this incarnation are trying to do:

"Well, we just want to be as authentic and loyal to the original comic as possible, and that means the story will be different. It’ll be different from what people are expecting.
