People’s Choice Awards 2014: Gee, why aren’t the Oscars more like them? The Academy is accused of being elitist and snobbish, snotty and snooty, old and tired. Well, below you’ll find the list of winners and nominees of the 2014 People’s Choice Awards (select categories). So, this is what the Academy Awards would look like if they were popular (or populist), young, and vibrant; in other words, if they were to truly represent the likes and dislikes of the average moviegoer (at least in the United States).
