Director of Let Me In and Cloverfield Matt Reeves has been confirmed to helm the third instalment of the rebooted Planet of the Apes series. Deadline reports that Reeves signed onto the threequel “right after” 20th Century Fox began screening Reeves’ cut of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes which is a sure fire sign of the confidence the studio has for the film.

Exactly what the third film will be called is yet to be announced, but it will inevitably full of far too many syllables. However, if you can’t wait for the third installment, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens on July 11th with Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) reprising his role as Caesar alongside Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises), Keri Russell (Mission: Impossible III), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In »
