Steven Moffat and Mark Gattiss' Sherlock is continuing to blur fiction and reality after it's return to television screens on New Year's Day with 'The Empty Hearse.'

That episode saw Sherlock Holmes' (Benedict Cumberbatch) parents played by the actor's real-life mother and father, and John Watson (Martin Freeman) reveal his engagement to Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington) - again, the actor's fiance in real-life.

And, to make things even more confusing, Watson has his own Internet blog. Events from the show are described as actually having happened, and there's a wonderful comments section at the bottom populated by Sherlock's characters, including this corker from the titular star:

I see you haven't spent the last two years working on your writing technique.

In the most recent post, Watson has embedded the below video, of the BBC breakfast news team reporting the return of Sherlock Holmes from the dead. It's tremendously surreal. »
