A&E has suspended Phil Robertson from filming on Duck Dynasty following a GQ interview that included homophobia, racial insensitivity and religious intolerance. Robertson will probably continue to appear in the fourth season, which finished filming, but this quick suspension suggests that A&E is very worried about its hit series. Those comments undermine Duck Dynasty‘s portrayal of the Robertsons as nice, everyday people who just happen to also be wealthy, which is key to the show’s appeal.

The Fox pilot Fatrick is starting to sound amazing. The comedy focuses on a man named Patrick, who reflects on being bullied as a kid for being fat and how it continues to affect his behavior. It’s written by Don’t Trust the B—- from Apartment 23 creator Nahnatchka Kahn and has made three addition to the cast. Marcia Cross is set to play Patrick’s mother. »
