Disney is still yet to receive the completed Star Wars Episode VII script.

The reworking of the script means that it has been delayed and is currently expected to arrive in January.

Speaking at a Variety breakfast, Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn also revealed that the film will have an estimated budget of at least $200 million (as reported by Marc Graser).

Little Miss Sunshine writer Michael Arndt originally had a treatment prepared when Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012.

He worked with director Jj Abrams on the script, but it was later reported that the material was being significantly reworked.

Abrams was last reported to be working with veteran Star Wars and Indiana Jones writer Lawrence Kasdan on the screenplay.

Horn also confirmed Disney's plans to release a Star Wars film every year, including tales from the ongoing saga and spinoffs.

Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled for a December 18, 2015 cinema release. »
