Let’s face it, most kids have it coming. If you watch TV at all, you’ll notice that 90% of all commercials these days involve smart-ass kids telling their clueless parents what to do. “Oh, you’re so smart, huh, you little brat, then why don’t you go get a job and pay for your own damn videogames!” Ahem. So, as I was saying, check out the Red Band trailer for Jason Bateman’s directorial debut, “Bad Words”, in which Bateman takes on a bunch of spelling bee kids and finally puts them in their place. Take that, kids! Adults rule! Kids drool! Jason Bateman (Identity Thief) makes his feature directorial debut with the subversive comedy Bad Words. Mr. Bateman stars as Guy Trilby, a 40-year-old who finds a loophole in the rules of The Golden Quill national spelling bee and decides to cause trouble by hijacking the competition. »
