Simon Kinberg (X-men: The Last Stand, Star Wars Rebels) produced 2011′s X-men: First Class and co-wrote the upcoming X-men: Days Of Future Past and Fantastic Four. Now it’s looking like he will shape a shared universe for 20th Century Fox’s Marvel properties that will combine all of their characters and tell shared narratives across multiple films.

This dosen’t come as a massive shock after Marvel Studios changed the superhero movie making game with Avengers Assemble, and subsequently showed the world that not only can a shared universe work but it can also make a tonne of money at the box office. Marvel studios have Joss Whedon to guide their film universe, and Warner Bros have David S. Goyer signed on for a similar role in order to produce a DC Comics cinematic universe.
