We’ve yet to see Bryan Singer’s latest X-men adventure (although it looks blooming brilliant) but it’s been confirmed Days Of Future Past will not be to last of Singer’s mutant-filled endeavours. The visionary filmmaker has tweeted the following message regarding another arc in the evolutionary superhero franchise.

#Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!

In addition, an official release date has been announced via trade Exhibitor Relations for X-men: Apocalypse. Those Fox execs must be pretty impressed with what they’ve seen from Dofp.

No stopping the X-Men franchise. Fox’s X-men: Apocalypse will drop May 27, 2016.

It will be interesting to see how many survivors feature from the upcoming adventure, which is slated for cinemas 23rd May 2014 and how this plays into that Wolverine spinoff reuniting Hugh Jackman and James Mangold.
