Magnolia Pictures has detailed their release plans for Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac today and it appears that the film will be hitting VOD first before it heads to theatres.

On March 6th, 2014 you’ll be able to catch part one of the film on demand, with part two set to follow on April 3rd. If you’d rather see the director’s sex epic on a bigger screen, then the dates you’ll want to pencil in are March 21st and April 18th, respectively.

If you recall, this is a similar plan to what we saw when Magnolia distributed Von Trier’s last film, Melancholia. It worked well back then and there’s no reason that it shouldn’t prove successful this time around too.
