Over the past month or so we've heard plenty of speculation surrounding casting on the upcoming Terminator reboot from director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), and it seems that Paramount Pictures has now identified the front runners to step into the shoes of Sarah Connor, with Deadline reporting that the studio is "looking closely" at Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Brie Larsen (Short Term 12) for the role.

Both Clarke and Larsen have previously been mentioned as candidates for Sarah Connor, while Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) have also been said to be under consideration. Meanwhile Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) is said to be Taylor's pick for John Connor, the leader of the Resistance, and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) have been mentioned with regards to Kyle Reese. »
