TotalFilm caught up with Henry Cavill, who’s currently shooting The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in England, and asked him his thoughts on the infamous casting of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the next Superman film. In a shocking turn of events, Cavill- brace yourselves- toed the company line. He expresses nothing but optimism and excitement. I know, you were expecting him to say, “That wanker is going to ruin the picture and steal my spotlight! What about my bloody sequel? When do I get to show my growth as a character, in the aftermath of thousands dying on my first day on the job? This whole thing is rubbish!“

Instead, here are Cavill’s completely predictable comments, which sound exactly like what every other WB crony has said about Affleck (think they sent around bullet-points to everyone?):
