A new TV spot (the tenth if you are counting) cuts down the nearly 3 hour The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug into 30 seconds of pure bliss, and manages to tell the same exact story you will see on screen this December. If you're not in the mood to sit through such a weighty experience, watch this latest footage, and save yourself a couple of bucks at the box office. To sum it up: Bilbo has an encounter with Smaug the dragon in a room filled with gold coins while Legolas meets and greets with the dwarves. This is the middle section of a three-act saga. It's the second act. It will have no beginning and no end. You've been warned.
