Louis Walsh has revealed that he was impressed by Prince William's singing debut.

The Duke of Cambridge performed with Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift on the former's hit 'Livin' on a Prayer' at a charity event at Kensington Palace on Tuesday night (November 26).

Speaking to The Mirror, Walsh said: "He has certainly got the X factor. I would have him at my Judges' Houses any time - I think he should definitely audition for the show."

He added: "He has got what it takes - he has star quality."

Meanwhile, Bon Jovi also praised the prince, saying: "His majesty had 'it'. If he ever wants to give up his day job, we could do a charity single for Centrepoint and the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.

"He was a great sport and I can assure you all, the man can sing."
