New images from Transformers: Age of Extinction have been released.

Filming for the upcoming movie, the fourth in the live-action Transformers series, began earlier this year. It is scheduled for release in June 2014.

The first of the photos, unveiled in Empire, shows newcomer to the Transformers franchise Jack Reynor, while another features a distressed-looking Nicola Peltz sitting on the ground next to a car.

In another shot, Optimus Prime is seen facing a vehicle that looks like it has been ripped in two. Director Michael Bay is seen standing over Peltz in the fourth image, holding what appears to be a mechanical green claw.

Bay, who directed the previous three Transformers films, told Empire: "I'm feeling really good about this one, I love my cast. There's a huge scale to this but also a huge soul."

Transformers: Age of Extinction also stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer.
