BBC America has picked up the previously announced second season of fantasy co-production "Atlantis" just days after the first season premiered in the United States.

In the U.K., the show has been the biggest Saturday night drama to launch on the BBC since 2006. The network ordered a second season of the drama back in late October. [Source: Variety]

Up Late with Alec Baldwin

MSNBC has pulled the plug on Alec Baldwin's talkshow "Up Late" in the wake of a homophobic slur scandal earlier in November.

The network and Baldwin's rep Matthew Hiltzik issued the statement: "We are jointly confirming that Up Late will not continue on MSNBC". [Source: PageSix]


After various short teasers, Syfy has unveiled an extended and more plot-centric trailer for Ronald D. Moore's new thriller series about a group of scientists investigating a pathogen outbreak in an Arctic facility. The show premieres January 10th.
