Alice In Wonderland was a major surprise hit when it was released in 2010 and blew the box office away by grossing over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office. The film currently sits at the fifteenth spot in the highest grossing films of all time, which is incredibly impressive and no doubt pleased Disney executives to no end.

If the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise has taught us anything it’s that Disney loves to milk any franchise they can. So it came as no surprise when Disney announced last year that they had plans for a sequel to the fantasy juggernaut with Linda Woolverton returning to pen the screenplay.
