The academy award winning Chris Cooper (American Beauty, Adaptation, The Muppets) is one of the greatest actors of our time and arguably one of the few great character actors working in Hollywood today. For this reason, I was overjoyed when it was announced that he will be portraying Norman Osborn and possibly his villainous alter-ego The Green Goblin in the upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-man 2 from Sony Pictures.

Osborn was previously played by the brilliant Willem Dafoe in Sam Raimi’s Spider-man released in 2002 and had minor roles in its two subsequent sequels. Now in a new interview Cooper has talked a little bit about his characters introduction in the film and also hints at Sony’s larger plan to form the super-villain team ‘the sinister six’ in future installments of the franchise.
