Scott Porter has expressed uncertainty as to whether a Friday Night Lights movie will ever be made.

Fans of the football-themed drama have called for a big-screen continuation since the series ended in 2011, but star Kyle Chandler has said that a movie would be unnecessary.

Porter – who played star quarterback Jason Street – has now revealed to Parade that he feels some "trepidation" about a potential Friday Night Lights film.

"It's tricky for me because Jason's story ended so well," he explained. "At first, it was a kick in the gut to know that I'd be leaving the show in season three, but once I realised how they allowed Jason to leave the show, I understood."

Porter continued: "Out of every character on that show, you could almost fight to say that Jason won. He won at life and overcame so much. I think his future is pretty set in stone. »
