Almost Human continues its impressive start by getting even better in its second episode. Here's Billy's spoiler-y review...

1.2 Skin

Episode two in any series is very important, because often the budget, director and script of the pilot gets much more love than the first proper running show episode. I was therefore very pleased to discover that not only was Skin on par with the Almost Human pilot, it was actually even better.

The story was something of a cookie-cutter exercise in detective work, but what the writers managed to insert into it was the developing relationship between Kennex and Dorian, a philosophical perspective on the nature of existence and the future success of sex robotics. The phrase, something for everyone, comes easily to mind.
