Deadline has announced that Annabeth Gish has been cast in Mike Flanagan’s psychological thriller Somnia. Gish plays the case worker of a young orphaned boy whose dreams begin to manifest as real.

She joins Thomas Jane, Kate Bosworth, and Jacob Tremblay in the psychological thriller, which is produced by Intrepid PicturesTrevor Macy alongside Demarest Film’s Sam Englebart and William D. Johnson. Flanagan co-wrote the film with Jeff Howard, who also co-wrote Flanagan’s Oculus.

The American Film Marker recently announced two films about sleep paralysis: Mara a narrative that sees a criminal psychologist investigating the murder of a man that ultimately reveals a mystery surrounding a demon that kills people while they sleep; and Nightmare, a documentary about the phenomenon from Room 237 director Rodney Ascher.
