Box Office: 'Thor 2' Marvels With $479.8M Total Worldwide; 'Best Man Holiday' Rings In 2nd W/ $30.6M

In its second weekend, "Thor: The Dark World" held onto the top spot with $38.4 million. Domestically, the movie is nearing the $150 million mark with a running total of $147 million. Internationally, it's already crossed the $450 million mark, with a running total of $479.8 million, and has surpassed the entire theatrical run of its predecessor, "Thor," which made $449.3 million. In spite of possible bad word-of-mouth, once people actually saw it (our own review called it "the most deeply flawed Marvel movie since 'Iron Man 2' "), 'Thor 2' suffered only a 55% drop in its second weekend (compared to the 58% drop "Iron Man 3" felt from opening to second weekend). With these numbers, it looks like it will be on the leader board for the next few weeks and continue to make a near-ridiculous amount of money, though nothing of 'Iron Man' proportions.
