Universal is moving forward with its live-action feature Monster High.

The studio has enlisted Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage to write the script.

In addition to their writing duties, Schwartz and Savage will also produce Monster High.

Monster High follows the teenage offspring of some of the most famous monsters in history.

Frankie Stein, the daughter of Frankenstein, Clawdeen Wolf, the daughter of the Wolfman, and Deuce Gorgon, the son of Medusa, are just some of the members of Monster High.

The brand was created by Mattel in 2010 and has since inspired several Nickelodeon TV specials and Ya novels.

Schwartz and Savage will team on the feature with producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. »
