“Is America robophobic?”

Sony will have to wait until February to find out.

The studio offered a second trailer for “Robocop” on Thursday, featuring more action-packed footage of star Joel Kinnaman (“The Killing”) in the upcoming remake of the sci-fi classic.

Originally set for Aug. 9, 2013, “Robocop” may not look like an expensive film–and the February release date suggests modest expectations–but the movie did cost $120 million so box office sales for the Jose Padilha film will need to be robust.

Sony last tried (and ultimately failed) reviving a sci-fi classic in 2012 with “Total Recall.” The Colin Farrell-starrer, budgeted at $125 million, earned a mere $58 million at the U.S. box office.

Robocop,” co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton, arrives Feb. 12, 2014.
