Mexican helmer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is developing a drama series for Media Rights Capital, marking his first foray in the U.S. TV market.

Inarritu is co-creating the property and will direct the pilot. The specifics of the show are unclear but Inarritu has reteamed with the trio that he worked with on the screenplay for his upcoming pic “Birdman”: Nicolas Giacobone, Armando Bo and Alexander Dinelaris.

Inarritu previously worked with Mrc on the Oscar-nommed 2006 pic “Babel.” His other film credits include 2003′s “21 Grams” and 2010′s “Biutiful.”

Inarritu is repped by CAA.
