Paris-based major Studiocanal is joining forces with Working Title to produce Stephen Frears’ untitled cycling project toplining Ben Foster as Lance Armstrong.

Studiocanal is set to fully-finance, distribute in its territories (France, U.K., Germany, Australia/New Zealand), and handle international sales, kicking off at next month’s Afm.

Foster (“Kill Your Darlings”) will star opposite Chris O’Dowd (“Bridesmaids”), who will play David Walsh (the Sunday Times journalist and chief sports writer), as well as Guillaume Canet (“Tell No One”) and Jesse Plemons (“Breaking Bad”) in key supporting roles.

Project marks the fourth link-up between Studiocanal and Working Title.  Two companies successfully worked together on Tomas Alfredson’s Oscar-nominated “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” Simon-Baker starrer “I Give It A Year” and “The Two Faces of January,” which stars Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen and is now in production.
