The couple, who married 13 years ago, are 'taking some time apart', according to a spokesperson for Zeta-Jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are "taking some time apart" to "work on their marriage", according to a statement released by her publicist.

Zeta-Jones, 43, who married Douglas, 68, 13 years ago and has two children with him, shot to fame in Britain in the early 1990s in the television adaptation of The Darling Buds of May before going on to Hollywood success in such films as Chicago, Traffic and Intolerable Cruelty. She was praised in 2011 for revealing that she was receiving treatment for bipolar disorder.
