Sky1 has announced its slate for autumn and winter 2013.

The Kumars will make their Sky debut, returning to television in a new six-part series following a seven-year absence.

"The entire Kumars family are very excited to have moved into a new home on Sky1," said Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Sherlock's Martin Freeman will also star in a film for Sky's Little Crackers strand, the broadcaster confirmed.

Returning series for Sky1 includes Moone Boy with Chris O'Dowd, Stella starring Ruth Jones, Ross Kemp's Extreme World and action-drama Strike Back.

Mad Dogs will also draw to a close in a final two-part adventure, with Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm and Marc Warren all set to return.

Among the new commissions are comedy Yonderland, firefighter drama The Smoke and Ray Winstone-starrer Moonfleet.
