One of my favorite movies from last year Act Of Valor is getting a sequel. Made on a budget of $12 million, and acquired for $13 million, the film went on to not only open at number one back in February of 2012, but also gross $70 million domestically at the box office. Relativity Media is moving forward with a sequel to the Bandito Brothers’ breakout hit action thriller tentatively titled Act of Valor 2.

According to Deadline, Relativity has acquired the worldwide rights to finance, produce and distribute Act of Valor 2. The sequel that will focus on elite Swat officers that will be written and directed by Scott Wiper (The Condemned) with the Bandito Brothers returning to produce. Last year, Relativity Television announced it would produce a scripted drama series based on the original film in collaboration with the Bandito Brothers but it’s still in development.
