—we finally get a definitive adaptation of the classic Beat novel On the Road
. And, as a story comprised of little vignettes in the narrator’s adventures traveling the United States, it’s a wonder this film was finally made (Francis Ford Coppola has been trying to adapt this novel since 1979).
