"X-Men" actress Famke Janssen called the police on Saturday to report that her Greenwich Village apartment was broken in over the weekend. It's not clear whether anything was taken, but the intruder left something bizarre. According to the police report, Janssen searched her apartment for missing items and was alarmed to find a childrens book, called "The Lonely Doll," on a shelf beside her bed. She says the book isn't hers and she believes it was left there as a threat. The 1957 book focuses on a lonely doll that makes a pact with two teddy bears to stay together forever. Police are checking whether the incident is connected to a previous harassment report that the actress filed in 2005 after a fan began sending her creepy letters, photos and cards. »
