Warner Bros. Eying Actor In His 'mid-40s' for Batman Role in 'Batman vs. Superman'
A new report from Batman on Film brings word the actor cast to play Batman in Warner Bros' Batman vs. Superman (aka Man of Steel 2) will reportedly be in his mid-40s to play a character said to be "a grizzled veteran who has been on the job for several years." By comparison, Henry Cavill just recently turned 30, which should give screenwriter David S. Goyer a little something extra to work with. This news should put any speculation regarding Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing Batman to rest and Armie Hammer, who was once set to play Batman in WB's now-aborted Justice League film, has also said not to expect him in the role, also noting he will co-star with Cavill in Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. adding, "I think if Henry and I did that film and then a superhero film straight after, people might start to wonder about us.
