The deaths of both Cory Monteith and his character on “Glee” will be addressed in the third episode of the coming season of the Fox musical dramedy, Fox Broadcasting Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly said.

“The third episode will write Finn Hudson out of the show,” Reilly said at Fox’s exec session at the Television Critics Assn. press tour today. “That episode will deal with the incidents directly involved with Cory’s passing, (including) drug use.”

Reilly did not confirm how the Finn character would die or whether or not it would be directly related to drug use. Reilly did add that there would be public service announcements that evening involving “Glee” cast members.”

Reilly praised “Glee” lead Lea Michele, “who has the most personally wrapped up in it and has been an extraordinary human being and pillar of strength.”
